MEFI pro™ 1.2 software and MEFI pro™ 1.2 Polaris Slingshot software will let you save the existing MEFI™ 5A or 6A programming inside your ECM, then transfer that programming to your personal computer or laptop, make changes to the programming, then save and transfer it back to the ECM with your changes. MEFI pro™ 1.2 and MEFI pro™ 1.2 Polaris Slingshot software will let you see sensor data on the fly and save it for later use.

One MEFIpro™ software license (interface cable) will allow you to download and upload, create and customize calibrations to a single ECM. The scanning and diagnostic features of MEFIpro™ will work on multiple ECM`s.

Mefi™ ECM calibration, programming and diagnosing.
Have you modified your stock GM LS or Ecotec MEFI™ Engine with a high performance exhaust, bigger cam or have you had it supercharged? With MEFI pro™ 1.2 software upload performance calibrations or tune your MEFI™ 5A and MEFI™ 6A Electronic Control Module (ECM) on the fly.
The ECM, MEFI™ controls all engine functions including spark, fuel, idle speed, and rev limit. Depending on your application, MEFI pro™ 1.2 and MEFI pro™ 1.2 Polaris Slingshot ship with a base tune you can upload and get running right away. If you are planning to make any modifications or already have, ECM re-calibration is necessary for proper control of the engine.
The first step to tuning the calibration is to set the ECM so the engine operates in open loop mode and is not reading signals from the Oxygen sensors and making live changes to the AFR. This will allow you to validate the changes that are made to the Fuel and Spark tables since the ECM will not be modifying the AFR. If you are trying to tune the engine for maximum power it may be recommended to leave the ECM in open loop after tuning the calibration due to the
extra amounts of fuel added to achieve maximum horsepower.
Engine monitoring, data logging, and malfunction trouble code reading is super easy to do becuase of MEFI pro™ 1.2 user interface. MEFI™ definition files allow you to take full advantage of the features that MEFI pro™ 1.2 and MEFI pro™ 1.2 Polaris Slingshot has to offer. The interface cable allows you to do real-time monitoring and data logging of the MEFI™ engine controller.
